About Me

Camila is a filmmaker and choreographer based between London, England, and Denver, Colorado. Her creative practice integrates film with new and immersive technologies like AI and projection, exploring how dance and technology intersect to transform our relationships with the human body, natural environments, and cultural dance histories. With a background in film editing, directing, and festival curation, she brings a unique perspective to the evolving field of Screendance, blending her passion for dance with her experience in documentary filmmaking.

With eight years of experience in media creation and distribution, Camila has worked for companies like Presenting Denver, Community-Minded Dance, Imperial College, and NBC Universal. She has been an integral part of the Life In Motion Dance Film Festival curation team for the past eight years and curated the Frame Rush International Screendance Festival. Camila has also produced work in institutions like Central Saint Martins and Studio Wayne McGregor.

As a teacher at London Contemporary Dance School, Camila has taught screendance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her dance practice spans Contemporary and Ballet, as well as social dances like Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, and Salsa. Camila’s work has been showcased internationally at festivals like Dance Camera West, Sans Souci, and Frame Rush. Committed to accessibility, Camila has expanded free fall-prevention dance classes for older adults through Dance to Health and Life/Art Dance Ensemble Outreach programs in London and Colorado.
